Tree Top Lodging: An Overview

The Inn at Evins Mill offers bluff view accommodations with spacious covered decks, spectacular views and mountain cabin appeal. Our twelve cozy and well-appointed rooms accommodate two or three guests each.

All rooms include…

• sight and sound of water (in season)
• similar size, amenities & décor
• multiple windows with breathtaking views
• full bath & linen amenities
• individually controlled heating/cooling units
• one king-size bed (for an additional charge, we can convert king beds to two twins)

• TV/VCRs (videos only, no television programming)

• our pledge of cleanliness
• a 3:00 p.m. check-in (with few exceptions, guest may arrive much earlier)
• a 12:00 p.m. check-out (with few exceptions, guest may depart much later)

While the Main Lodge is the heart and architectural gemstone of Evins Mill - where guests arrive, park and check-in, and where many of the inn's common gathering areas are located - our twelve bluff view rooms are found in a series of three Guest Houses, situated immediately adjacent to the Lodge on a slope overlooking forested landscapes.

Bluff View Rooms

The first guest house, Lockhart, is just a stone’s throw away from the Lodge and offers a few distinct advantages...

• As guests park by the Lodge, rooms in Lockhart are the most convenient.
• Looking out over the creek or creek bed as all rooms do, rooms in Lockhart also offer picturesque views of the dam, pond and historic gristmill.
• Rooms in Lockhart feature wireless DSL internet access

Lawrence is roughly 150 feet from the Lodge, while Webb is roughly a football field. Both offer great views of the creek and creek bed but are...

• less convenient to the Lodge
• further recessed from the views of the dam, pond and gristmill
• located outside the range for wireless internet access

Each guest house features two types of bluff view rooms: Mountain Laurels on the upper level and Evergreens on the lower level.

While Mountain Laurels are similar to Evergreens in the essential respects outlined above, they differ aesthetically and functionally in several ways, uniquely featuring…

• vaulted cathedral ceilings lending them a more open and spacious feel
• wood ceilings offering a warmer and more rustic texture
• easy access (no flights of steps even though they're on the top floor)
• more closet & shelf space
• a mini-refrigerator
• sleeping lofts - perfect for children or groups needing additional bedding
