"My wife and I took the day tripper package here and we were not disappointed. The falls are just amazing and worth the hike. The lunch was wonderful and they did not skimp on anything. There are several places to enjoy nature."

For those who wish to enjoy our property but not to reserve a room or book an event, our day-tripper package may be available depending on existing reservations.

By reservation-only, the day-tripper includes a hearty sack lunch as well as private access to a forested, forty-acre property with incredible scenery and a variety of activities...

  • hiking to overlooks & base of Carmac Falls
  • swimming beneath its 90ft cascade
  • fishing at Evins Mill Pond
  • billiards, table tennis, foosball & darts
  • lawn games, including corn hole, horse shoes
  • swinging & rocking on Ivy Overlook
  • relaxing/napping at our Hammock Bower

Hiking Trails

Two trails lead to Carmac Falls, both of which are unsurfaced. The North Trail begins by the Main Lodge and leads to the North Overlook, which offers the most spectacular view of Carmac Falls from above. The trail to the North Overlook is one mile there and back and features modest elevation changes. Accessing the overlook requires crossing a creek, which can usually be accomplished without getting one's shoes wet.

The South Trail begins by the Gristmill and is the only way to access the swimming hole at the base of Carmac Falls, which is one and a half miles there and back. Unlike the North Trail, the trail to the South Overlook is relatively flat, but the final descent to the base is steep, involves a significant elevation change and in one stretch borders a precipice.

Available to-go, sack lunches include...

  • sandwich (turkey, ham, roast beef, tuna, veggie)
